Bones, quarries, and the artifact

Bones are required for the graveyard boss chunk, but quarry chests and legendary deserts have already failed some players. Use the craft prompt, not a guessed drop.

Bones block the graveyard boss chunk for a lot of players, and an artifact is the other item people ask for by name. Neither has a published source. This page separates the uses that were shown from the searches that failed.

What bones are for

Bones are a spoken ingredient in one boss-chunk craft: wood, stone, and bones for the graveyard chunk that spawned Grounder. They are not listed as a class starter item. No mob drop, chest rate, or biome guarantee was published with that recipe.

Until a drop is shown in the craft menu or in a clear pickup, do not treat skeletons, crates, or a specific biome as the official source.

Searches that have already failed

On the day-100 video, players report two dead ends:

  • Quarry chests, including while holding diamond tools.
  • Legendary deserts, searched for bones and for an artifact, with the same result.

A legendary quarry chunk did show up in another run and was useful for higher-rarity materials. That is not the same claim as "quarry chests drop bones." Diamond tools are something players reach. Their recipe is not published here because it was not shown.

What to do instead

  1. Open the boss-chunk recipe in the craft menu and read the bone count there before you travel.
  2. Mine and clear the chunks you can already place. The legendary quarry is worth using for rarity materials when it rolls. It is not a promise of bones.
  3. Keep stone and wood stocked so the craft can fire on the turn bones arrive.
  4. If you find an item literally named artifact, stop and read its prompt. Players ask how to get it, and no successful method was shown. Do not buy a class or a Robux item to "unlock" it. Nothing ties the artifact to a class.

Rusty nails are a related unknown. Three were picked up in one run immediately before rarer chunk crafts appeared. The player treated the nails as the reason. That sequence is not a cost. If your menu asks for nails, use the number on the menu.

Gold is the other late material that was named: the second boss craft used gold from storage before the Pharaoh fight. The amount was not read aloud. Chest gold is a real place it came from in that run, not a map of every gold node.

If the recipe still will not craft

Check four things that were actually visible in play:

  • The ingredient name. Stone, bones, and gold are different prompts.
  • Whether you are holding the key for a chest rather than leaving it in the reward line. Grounder's chest and the Pharaoh's special box both wanted the key equipped or held.
  • The placement limit. A crafted chunk that cannot be placed looks like a failed craft if you only watch the island.
  • Crafting level. Engineer halves crafting-level requirements. If a recipe is level-locked, more wood will not bypass it unless the menu says the missing thing is wood.

Badge quests and biome crates are Gem sources, not confirmed bone sources. Open them for Gems anyway. Their item pools were not published, so an extra drop is possible and unpromised.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the goal in 100 Days on Chunk?

Reach day 100. You start on one chunk above the void, craft more chunks and items, build a base, and survive nights, raids, and bosses along the way.

How do I unlock and equip a class?

Open the Classes shop in the lobby, buy the class if it is locked, and equip it before you start the run. Explorer is free. The starter items and buffs apply at the beginning of the next run.

Are there 100 Days on Chunk codes?

No code string has been published for this experience, and no code box has been documented on its screen. Codes from similarly named Roblox games belong to those games. Check the Codes page before you type anything.

How do I earn Gems?

Complete Badge quests, open biome crates, and finish a run. The survival summary pays Gems. Exact badge names and crate amounts were not published.

Which class should a new player buy first?

Stay on Explorer until you know whether hunger, damage, wood, or nights are ending the run. Chef or Medic at 75 Gems covers the first two. Ninja at 150 Gems is the strongest published Gem jump for nights. Read the lobby price before you buy.
