Craft chunks and defend boss totems

Place rarer chunks before you hit the placement limit, then beat Grounder or the Pharaoh and protect the boss totem so the day multiplier applies.

After the first chunk, progress is more chunks, a base that can hold a night, and bosses whose totems add a day multiplier. The official loop calls these crafted pieces chunks. Public play also shows rarity on some of them, including a legendary quarry chunk and a graveyard chunk that spawned a boss.

What is confirmed versus what was only seen once

Step What you can rely on What is still open
First chunk Prompt read on camera: 8 wood and 2 leaves Later chunks are not confirmed to use that same cost
Rarer chunks A legendary quarry chunk appeared, and rusty nails were in the inventory just before rarer crafts showed up Nail count is not a published unlock cost
Boss chunk One graveyard craft used wood, stone, and bones, and the player called the result a guaranteed red craft Other boss crafts are not confirmed to share that recipe
Second boss A later craft used gold, and the fight was called the Pharaoh Gold amount was not read out
Totem Boss key opens a chest with the boss totem. Place it and protect it from zombies while it survives. That grants a day multiplier The x4 result was one clear, not a posted formula

Expand without wasting the placement cap

  1. Finish the first chunk from the opening guide.
  2. Chop and mine before you open a stack of crafts. Wood feeds almost every craft, which is why Lumberjack's Iron Axe matters early.
  3. When rarer chunk crafts appear, craft one and place it next to the base you can still defend. A legendary quarry chunk in one run was valuable because it supplied higher-rarity materials, not because every legendary roll is a quarry.
  4. Stop placing when the game reports the placement limit. Extra crafted chunks you cannot place do not extend the night defense.

Engineer cuts crafting-level requirements by 50%. That lets higher-tier builds come up earlier. It does not change the wood, stone, bone, or gold counts on a recipe.

Grounder and the totem

On a graveyard chunk, the boss on camera was named Grounder. The fight ended with a key. The key opened a chest that held Grounder's totem.

  1. Craft and place the graveyard boss chunk. In that run the ingredients called out were wood, stone, and bones.
  2. Defeat Grounder. Do not leave the key in the reward text. The chest stayed locked until the key was held and used.
  3. Place the totem near the base, not in a corner you cannot reach during a wave.
  4. Protect the totem from zombies until it survives. The run then reported a day multiplier, in that case x4, added to buildings.

Bones are the ingredient players get stuck on. There is no published drop table. A separate note on where players look, and where that search has failed, is in Bones, quarries, and the artifact.

The Pharaoh

A second boss path in the same playthrough used gold from a chest, and the clear was announced as defeating the Pharaoh. Afterward an ancient key was required for a special box, and the key had to be held to open it. A different day-100 run's summary showed two bosses defeated and the player still wanting a third. No third boss name was published, so this wiki does not invent one.

Hunter raids sit between these fights in a full-run chapter list. Raid size, timing, and rewards were not stated. Treat them as a defense check, not as a farm with a known payout.

If the craft button names a cost this page does not, follow the button. The rows above are the costs that were actually spoken or shown, not a full recipe book.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the goal in 100 Days on Chunk?

Reach day 100. You start on one chunk above the void, craft more chunks and items, build a base, and survive nights, raids, and bosses along the way.

How do I unlock and equip a class?

Open the Classes shop in the lobby, buy the class if it is locked, and equip it before you start the run. Explorer is free. The starter items and buffs apply at the beginning of the next run.

Are there 100 Days on Chunk codes?

No code string has been published for this experience, and no code box has been documented on its screen. Codes from similarly named Roblox games belong to those games. Check the Codes page before you type anything.

Complete Badge quests, open biome crates, and finish a run. The survival summary pays Gems. Exact badge names and crate amounts were not published.

Which class should a new player buy first?

Stay on Explorer until you know whether hunger, damage, wood, or nights are ending the run. Chef or Medic at 75 Gems covers the first two. Ninja at 150 Gems is the strongest published Gem jump for nights. Read the lobby price before you buy.
