Choose a class and earn Gems

Buy a class in the lobby shop, equip it before the run, and match Chef, Medic, Lumberjack, Ninja, Vampire, or Engineer to the problem that ended your last attempt.

A class is a lobby purchase. It changes the tools and buffs you have at the moment a run starts. It does not level up inside the chunk, and equipping it in the shop is what makes the next run use it.

Buy it, then equip it

  1. Enter the lobby and open the Classes shop.
  2. Select Explorer, Chef, Medic, Lumberjack, Ninja, or Vampire. Explorer is free. The other five spend Gems.
  3. Engineer is the exception. It spends Robux, not Gems.
  4. Equip the class before you start. The shop shows the class as unlocked, and the next run applies its starter items and buffs automatically.

Compare the number on the button with the table below. A September 16, 2026 playthrough showed Engineer at 320 Robux. Writeups from September 30 and October 1, 2026 list 399 Robux. Those can both be true of different days. The button in your lobby is the price you pay.

Prices and what they change

Class Stars Cost Starts with What changes
Explorer 1 Free Wooden Sword, Wooden Pickaxe, Wooden Axe No extra buff
Chef 2 75 Gems 3 Cooked Meat Hunger falls 30% slower
Medic 2 75 Gems 2 bandages Heal 10% faster
Lumberjack 3 150 Gems Iron Axe Chop 10% faster
Ninja 3 150 Gems Nothing listed Move 10% faster and a 20% chance to dodge a hit
Vampire 4 300 Gems Nothing listed Meat only, kills fill a blood bar, full bar sword hit deals 3x damage
Engineer 4 399 Robux in the later writeups Extra Crossbow Crafting-level requirements are 50% cheaper

Which failure you are buying off

Match the class to the last run, not to the star count.

  • Hunger before the campfire is ready: Chef. The meat is a start, and the slower drain is the part that lasts.
  • You win the food check and lose the night to damage: Medic. Two bandages and faster healing do not add damage.
  • Trees are the bottleneck for floors, walls, and the next chunk: Lumberjack. The Iron Axe is the early wood skip.
  • You get hit while you reposition during zombie waves: Ninja. Speed plus a dodge chance is the best published use of 150 Gems if combat, not wood, is the wall.
  • You already fight through the night and can live on meat: Vampire. The 3x sword strike needs a full blood bar, and the diet is a real restriction.
  • You want higher crafting levels early and you accept Robux: Engineer. The Crossbow is for base defense, and every crafting-level requirement is cut in half. That discount is about crafting level, not a flat 50% off item costs.

Explorer remains the correct class while you are still learning which of those sentences is yours.

Where the Gems come from

Three published sources pay Gems:

  • Badge quests. The quest names and the Gem amounts on each badge were not published.
  • Biome crates earned during a run. Crate contents were not itemized.
  • The survival summary at the end of a run. One day-100 clear showed a Gem total on that screen. Treat any single total as that run's payout, not as the standard reward.

The Gem calculator subtracts the Gems you have from a price you type. It does not look up your account. Full class pages are under Classes. The editorial order, with the same costs, is on the class tier list.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the goal in 100 Days on Chunk?

Reach day 100. You start on one chunk above the void, craft more chunks and items, build a base, and survive nights, raids, and bosses along the way.

How do I unlock and equip a class?

Open the Classes shop in the lobby, buy the class if it is locked, and equip it before you start the run. Explorer is free. The starter items and buffs apply at the beginning of the next run.

Are there 100 Days on Chunk codes?

No code string has been published for this experience, and no code box has been documented on its screen. Codes from similarly named Roblox games belong to those games. Check the Codes page before you type anything.

How do I earn Gems?

Complete Badge quests, open biome crates, and finish a run. The survival summary pays Gems. Exact badge names and crate amounts were not published.

Which class should a new player buy first?

Stay on Explorer until you know whether hunger, damage, wood, or nights are ending the run. Chef or Medic at 75 Gems covers the first two. Ninja at 150 Gems is the strongest published Gem jump for nights. Read the lobby price before you buy.
